HOW TO LEAVE A LEGACY?

A legacy or a bequest is an instruction you make in your Will, directing that some or all of your estate be gifted to a charity or a particular cause.

It can be in the form of:
  • Money
  • Property, furniture, office item
  • Shares/Investments
  • Vehicles
  • Works of art, Jewelry
  • or other valuables.
You don’t have to be wealthy to make a bequest – whatever you choose to give will make a difference long after your lifetime. Making a Will allows you to determine how your assets will be used.  Please consider making a bequest in your Will to CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation SA. We suggest you contact a professional (attorney, your banker or current holder of your Will). CHOC has also partnered with professional attorneys who can assist at a discounted rate, for their details please contact Zelda Jacobs at 086 111 3500 or bdu@choc.org.za. You can also take advantage of the National Wills Month in September, where most law firms /attorneys draft Wills for free.
