Governance and B-BBEE
CHOC is governed by a board and an executive committee, who the Chief Executive Officer reports to. Our diverse board is made up of parents of children who have or have had cancer, medical doctors, business leaders and others who bring a wide range of skills and expertise to the table. We also have advisory regional committees that provide guidance and assistance to our offices and regions around the country.
Our reporting on expenditure is detailed, accurate and transparent. Clean, audited financial statements are provided on an annual basis. We also strive to keep administration costs to a minimum (typically our administration to programme ratio is only 20:80%). CHOC complies with South African labour laws and employment equity requirements. The organisation has a documented Employment Equity Plan and targets, which are also reported on annually. CHOC has a proven ability to effectively deliver sustainable solutions and is an established brand, endorsed by specialists.
